Style Birmingham Live 2011 Extravaganza

It’s been the busiest, fun and fabulous three days for the Bonafide Supernova team. We’ve spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Style Birmingham Live 2011 events and we LOVED IT!!

We managed to cramp it all in and attend most of what was taking place, including the MAC make-up workshop at the Mailbox.

Style Birmingham Live 2011- hosted by George Lamb, was an extravagant 3 day event brought to you by Retail Birmingham; presented all of this seasons (AW11) hottest trends and styles, along with hair & make-up advice/tips for every type of stylish woman and ‘dapper’ man.

The main events at Style Birmingham were held at the Town Hall, Bullring and the Pavilions. Town Hall Catwalk Show was hosted by the gorgeous and stylish George Lamb which featured all of this season’s collections, from high street and designer stores. We saw forties glamour, dark and gothic attire, business/work power dressing and hot metallic’s; teamed with killer heels, autumn boots and chic tailoring. The show was bold, featured some absolutely ‘incredible’ music and had a theatrical feel. This show would have given any Fashion Week Show a run for their money!

Bullring, one of the UK’s most fashionable shopping centres’s held the first catwalk show- which definitely took fashion to the next level and ‘blew’ it up! With magnificent back-drops, lights and beautiful models; with stunning make-up; Bullring utilised new technology to the fullest to provide a show for Birmingham to remember. Once again, the Bullring show presented this season’s trends ‘redefined’ to create spectacular looks which certainly wowed the audience.

We also managed to attend the ‘How to Look Good’ show at the Pavilions featuring fashion Guru Caryn Franklin, make-up artist Arian Poole and Midlands hairdresser and global L’Oreal ambassadors, Royston Blythe and Nick Malenko. This show provided interesting workshops, advice and tips on how to be stylish, fashionable at whatever age, whatever shape or skin tone. Feeling great about ‘you’ is an essential thing and this show highlighted the power of being confident and chic.

Phew… was hard going over all of that! There were many more highlights over the 3 days and we’ll be providing our personal favourites, event insights and pictures of the trends during the next few days, to make sure those of you who missed out, can take a look!

So, stay tuned!!
