I am always impressed by a man in a suit and Bonafide Supernova were lucky enough to be invited to the Ozwald Boateng presentation and after party, His effortless designs have been worn by megastars such as P.Diddy, David Beckham and Neyo.
This season, Ozwald Boateng explores parallel elements of Eastern and Western culture, combining the elite gentry of British hunting attire with aspects of Japanese aesthetic.
“The traditionally ‘black and white’ Japanese attitude towards clothing etiquette fascinates to me. In modern society, migration between East and West has caused these elements to merge – Ozwald Boateng
A characteristically Western approach is taken to colour palette for this A/W collection. Pantone is carefully selected; based on fiercely traditional philosophies and balanced temporary House aesthetic. The rich scarlets and fir greens hark back to a traditional hunting aristocracy.
The presentation took place at Ozwalds shop on Savile Row – Mayfair- London.
Savile Row, famous for its traditional men’s bespoke tailoring. The term “bespoke” is understood to have originated in Savile Row when cloth for a suit was said to “be spoken for” by individual customers. The short street is termed the “golden mile of tailoring”, where customers have included Winston Churchill, Lord Nelson and Napoleon III.
Over the past two decades Ozwald Boateng has reinterpreted the British art of bespoke tailoring. Traditional craftmanship and innovation are the cornerstones of the house. Ozwald Boateng’s iconic contemporary twist, vibrant colours and refined fabrics offer a unique luxury experience.
Check out my images taken at the presentation. I was gutted as we couldn’t make the after party and had to head back to Birmingham, anyway Ozwald you did a great job, as always!
Men if your looking for a Über stylish and beautifully tailored suit – you know where to go!
