I’m Tajinder and I am a new writer here at Bonafide.
During the weekend, I had the privilege to attend the launch party for Kouture Magazine that was hosted by the Cuckoo Club in Mayfair, London. Although the event had a slight delay, once you entered the building I was greeted with good vibes, exquisite décor, and plenty of fabulous photo opportunities.
Upon entry, I headed to the bar to try one of the complimentary Sauville Vodka based cocktails – which were super zesty. There were plenty of canapés available but I’m not a sushi fan, so I swiftly passed upon those.
Once all the guests had settled into the building, the Kouture team gathered on stage with key influencers giving speeches. Kouture is a luxury magazine that spreads cultural fashion, especially as some of the photo-shoots were taken abroad in Pakistan. Kouture Magazine is trying to fuse East and West together, as beauty, culture, and fashion are extremely important to them.
Immy spoke to the audience about his journey from a model into a creative director and more specifically about the Pakistan shoot. The decision to go to Pakistan was to exhibit a cultural country and abolish the negative stereotypes associated with the country. They presented Pakistan not as a nation of terrorism rather a fashion capital; the team had the privilege to shoot at Badshahi Mosque.
The launch overall was a very classy event with many big personalities in attendance. We had the opportunity to preview one of the ten printed copies of the magazine, had the chance to pose with friends for the photo booth, and finally view a slideshow of all the photo-shoots. Congratulations to the Kouture team for their successful launch party and the creation of their luxury magazine. It is full of intriguing content, fabulous photography, and is relatable to the millennial woman.
