Last night I went to B.Y.O.C to celebrate my friends 25th birthday.
Located right near Liverpool Street station, this is the fifth instalment to the much-loved bring your own cocktail collection. There are B.Y.O.C’s in Brighton, Camden, Soho and Covent Garden.
If you’ve not heard of B.Y.O.C before, the concept is simple you bring a bottle of spirit or spirits of your choice, and the mixologists provide, the juices, syrups, and fruit etc. they then create custom cocktails of your choice for you.
The new addition to the B.Y.O.C. family is hidden in the basement under the James Cochran Restaurant in EC3. You have to look out for it as its not obvious from the exterior. It’s super sophisticated with an intimate and relaxed setting, B.Y.O.C. East, celebrates the great British Library, housing 1600 books.
As you enjoy your bespoke, cocktails, B.Y.O.C. invites you to get lost in your imagination surrounded by all the classics from Gullivers Travels to Pride and Prejudice.
The speakeasy service, means you can have cocktails based on your palette. It was nice to have a constant flow of drinks in a relaxed setting we were in a private space located at the back of the room which was great. You have a two hour slot at B.Y.O.C the staff are really attentive and lovely. Entrance is £25, All B.Y.O.C. venues have opened their books for Christmas bookings. Which you can book online here.
I love the setting and the cocktails were tasty, it’s sophisticated drinking that definitely sends you on your merry way. I would definitely go again and recommend you checking it out.
B.Y.O.C treated me for the purpose of this review but all opinions are my own.
