London Fashion Week went off with a bang last Friday, with shows from Eudon Choi, Mark Fast and Charlotte Simone amongst others showcasing their brand new AW17 collections. Flared trousers, bell sleeves, earthy tones and detailed fabric layering were some of the top trends we spotted across various designers’ collection’s.
First up for us on Friday was Anissa Aida; hailed one of Fashion Scout SS17’s “Ones to Watch”. New York based French designer Anissa Meddeb’s AW collection exhibited a plethora of earthy brown, musky rose and warm terracotta tones, as well as the 70’s flare and flattering peplum.
We absolutely adored the bold stripes and oversized collars we spotted on some of the models.
To finish off Friday evenings events was Rocky Star’s dazzling array of detailed, embellished dresses. A firm Bollywood favourite famed for his ‘unconventional textures’ and ‘chic essence’, Rocky introduced us to a mix of gothic luxe and elegant silhouettes. Needless to say the show had us wishing it was Winter all over again. The elaborate layering, bold patterns and intricate lace covered all of the AW styles, and the mingle of frothy and bold outlines meant that the collection was flattering for all body shapes.
