In my first blog post for Bonafide Supernova, I will be featuring two different companies that I have recently worked with and I have been fortunate enough to receive products from them, Fortune Clothing and Dawson D Rose. Fortune Clothing is a Vintage and Retro style e-store based in Peterborough, they offer beautifully unique Vintage and second-hand pieces of clothing for amazingly reasonable prices! I discovered Fortune Clothing when looking through Asos Marketplace when I came across the skirt that has actually been featured in this blog! Dawson D Rose is a company based in London, they create beautiful, one-off designs that are brilliantly tailored to be flattering and feminine, the great thing about this company is that when you’re wearing one of their pieces, you don’t have to worry about bumping in to someone who is wearing the same thing! Brilliant, right?
As you’ll see below, I am wearing a beautiful powder blue, vintage style blouse, this is my second item from Fortune Clothing and I am just as impressed with it as I am with my first! The beauty of this blouse is that because it’s over sized, you can wear it in many ways for example, you could wear it like I have by tucking it in to trousers for a more slimming look, you can wear it open with a little Camisole top underneath and a statement necklace to dress it up or you could also tie it at the front to create a chilled festival look which would be perfect for this summer! My jeans are from River Island and are very reasonably priced! Unfortunately my bag is out of stock at Zara but thankfully i managed to get my manicured claws on this beauty at eBay!
I also draped my pink Topshop coat around my shoulders to finish off this pastel coloured look.
I don’t want to blab on too much about this blouse and bore everyone to death! However, I do want to show you how beautiful the detail is on it! In the picture you below, you will see the beautiful detail of the embroidery, although it’s the same colour as the blouse, I feel it still stands out from it and adds a little extra detail as well as the beautiful buttons.
“Pastels are an essential for this Summer”
My second item to blog about today for my Pastel Power blog is this beautiful hand made collar pictured below from Dawson D Rose. I absolutely adore this collar, the floral pattern is just so beautiful and it’s a perfect fit! The shape is just gorgeous, and when I wear it, I feel so happy knowing that very few people will be wearing the same one which makes it ultra special and unique!
I also styled this outfit with my pink Topshop coat to add a little more colour to the all white look! This also shows how versatile this coat is as I also styled it with my first outfit of the Pastel Power blog which is shown above.
In this close up of the collar, you can really see the beautiful pattern and how well it was made, the quality of this hand made product is great and you wouldn’t feel worried about any bit’s of thread coming loose or anything getting damaged.
I styled both my blouse and collar with these gorgeous studded heels that I bought last year from h&m, I haven’t worn these many times but I do feel that it’s a lesson to keep clothing/shoes from year’s ago as you never know when you might wear them again or when they may come back in fashion, and I’m so pleased I did because I think they work so well with this outfit as they blend in with the pastel theme but also give a statement with the studs at the same time.
I also styled both of my items with these beautiful pastel coloured earring’s that I recently purchased from Forever 21, I love these because they’re so elegant and although there’s a lot to them, they’re not too over the top for any outfit! Recently I have discovered a new love for Forever21, when they first came out as the new fashion brand I wasn’t so sure as personally, I felt the clothing was a little on the cheap side but now, they have really upped their game and I can’t wait to go back and buy more from them!
Thank you so much for reading my Pastel Power blog and please visit my Photography, Makeup Art and Styling website that I will post underneath.
