Belstaff Women’s Pre-Spring 16 Collection Launch

We are totally crushing on this whole collection…

The prelude to the women’s Summer collection draws inspiration from Wheels and Waves,
a biker festival held in June in the French seaside town of Biarritz. The gathering draws bikers and surfers alike, and it is this coming together of two cultures that is at the heart
of the collection.

At first glance these two worlds might seem incongruent, but they share the very same ideals, albeit on different surfaces: freedom, adventure, speed, and spontaneity.
The collection then is the embodiment of these free-spirited values, bringing together the raw elements of surf culture and seamlessly weaving them into the motorcycle heritage
that Belstaff is so known for.

Christmas is coming…

TFNC London treated me to an early Christmas and gifted me with this gorgeous two-piece. The party season is just around the corner and no doubt you’ll be looking for something for Christmas and New Year events.

If you tuck this two piece in, you can also transform it into a dress! this is fully lined on the inside so there is absolutely no itching. The iridescent mermaid colours are truly beautiful, as you can see in the photos.

Simmi Shoes also treated me to these cleated mules, which go so well with the two-piece. I’ve posted about these shoes before, I promise you these heels are comfy. The thick platform makes them relatively easy to walk/balance on. A heeled mule is a very fashionable heel to invest in.

If you don’t like getting your legs out, bright colours/sequins look great with black tights!

Poolside Appeal

When you’re abroad and away, you have the best excuse to strip off into your sexiest gear and flaunt what you have.

Lounging by the pool while you are topping up your tan is the perfect place to look mega chic whilst still being comfortable in what you are wearing.

You can either go glamorous and gorgeous or fabulous and funky, whatever you are into, the key thing to remember this summer is to look good and be bold. Make sure your outfit creates a statement; after all, you do want to turn heads with your poolside outfit!

People often forget that black is still an influential colour, even in the summer. Although your summer wardrobe should typically be bright and colourful, key colours including black and white shout not be forgotten. If anything, they will be the easiest colours to pair other items up with.

Black and white create a statement on their own, so be sure to include them in your summer outfits. White pieces from shoes to accessories have really come into their own this SS14, no doubt the trend will carry on and white will play out as an influential colour during the coming seasons.

One of the key things to remember when styling your poolside outfit is accessories. Accessories, accessories, accessories! These little pieces from necklaces to earrings, bangles to bracelets and heels to handbags can really change the entire shape of your outfit.

It does not matter if you are into silver or gold, orange or purple… well you get the idea! Whatever it is, make sure your jewellery and accessories are bold enough to really bring your outfit to life. The same concept applies to your footwear and handbag, make sure they complement your swimsuit or bikini well, not blend in, but mix well enough to create a statement.

No matter what you prefer, be it a stunning two-piece or a beautiful one piece, you can look sexy and comfortable at the same time. Take a look at some of our favourite affordable poolside outfits that will keep you up to date with this year’s collection and without a doubt, keep you looking poolside chic!

Dancing jacquards & funky prints

Hey Supernova’s, this is a pretty late post as I’ve been super busy, but I wanted to share my LC:M experience with you.. better late than never hey!

I had the chance to swoon over some super gorgeous models, all in the name of fashion journalism of course, and I was also busy backstage courtesy of Toni & Guy, (thanks to the Toni & Guy team for having me, I’ve also written about my backstage experience, so scroll down and you will find it)

For the Huntergather SS15, #move was expressed through the soul-boy silhouettes, curly perms and plastic sandals.

The show started with breakfast, summer berries, pastries and hot drinks at the Huntergather Cafe. Also present at the Presentation was David Gandy (our fave male model), trying not to drool and running past him to stand and watch the presentation.

Dancing jacquards, funky prints, applique cut-out motifs jazzy like Matisse, beating to the swanky R&B rhythms and strut of local dance halls. The high waisted pleats, colourful beats, vibrancy and full of energy lightened up our mood that I for one wanted to #move.

The concept behind the brand was centered around a community of designers, writers, stylists and photographers bringing new creative ideas and fashion that makes you move.

“When David Bowie released ‘Young Americans’ he had been inspired by the sounds of local dance halls. You see, I knew those sounds, for I was a soul-boy too”, said David Bradshaw; founder and creative director of Huntergather.

Here’s a snapshot into what I wore during LC:M
